Lead Special Education Instructional Specialist in SLD and Dyslexia

Dr. Holly Baker Hill has been a professor in the areas of the Science of Reading, Dyslexia, Family Advocacy and Learning Disabilities for over 25 years in the United States and internationally. She is currently the lead special education instructional specialist for Denver Public Schools (DPS) in SLD and Dyslexia. She is charged with the training and professional development for over 400 special education teachers in DPS on Structured Literacy, Dyslexia, and SLD. Dr. Hill has served on several Colorado Department of Education committees and is on the Dyslexia Task Force. She is active in the IDA Rocky Mountain Branch. She received her doctorate from Columbia University in 2000. She is a former special education teacher, school and district literacy coach and children's book author. She has 9 family members with dyslexia. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her family.
